The Schwartz Dynasty (2005)
Brief :
"The Schwartz Dynasty" is the tale of two women, joined together by their common struggle for their right to determine their own destiny, in a small town torn apart by religious extremism, petty power struggles, and bigotry. Miriam's world falls apart after her husband, the head of a religious council commits suicide in the wake of a financial scandal. As an act of devotion to him she is determined to be buried by his side, in the section of the cemetery reserved for those who have committed the ultimate sin and have taken their own lives. In the maze of religious bureaucracy, Miriam meets Anna, a Russian immigrant, who struggles to prove that her father was a Jew in order to fulfill his wish to be buried in the holy land.
